Every year I go out looking for autumn. I usually go out looking for what the Americans call fall colours. The autumn colours across New England can be stunning. Acres and acres of trees in different autumn hues going from green through to vivid reds with a multitude of yellows and oranges in between.
I invariably end up at Magog Down where the colours can be spectacular but the composition leaves a lot to be desired. So this year I decided to go with another thought - to capture autumn, the feeling of it. Wandlebury is actually across a busy road from Magog Down. Originally a circular Iron Age Fort steeped in myth and legend, it is now the site of an 18th century house, stables and gardens.
When I saw the Avenue, a tree line walk within the country park, with the bronze and copper coloured leaves and the warm autumn sunshine coming through the thinning trees, I felt I had found autumn in another way.
Hi Faruk, beautiful colours, tranquil shots, the perfect antidote to a couple of confusing and depressing 'political' weeks. ~ Will now proceed to vote for your selfie..... once I've sobered up enough to see it without the blurred edges 😉 cheers Les
